Posting and Insurance

If you believe your items are worth more than £750, you must pay an additional fee at the Post Office to increase insurance up to £2,500. If we buy your items and you send us a photograph of your receipt, we will refund the costs for the extra insurance. If, for any reason we do not buy your items, then no refund will be made against any extra insurance you have paid for.
Please list the details of the items you are sending us on our online form and complete your details in full including your bank account that you want the money paying into if you accept our offer and we buy your precious metal or jewellery.
Casharoo reserves the right to reject delivery of any package at its sole discretion. Casharoo will always refuse delivery of any package which appears to be damaged, or tampered with in any way. Casharoo does not accept any liability for any items lost in the post.
All items are opened and assessed in our highly secure premises which are monitored by CCTV. We accept no responsibility or liability for any losses you may experience whether directly or indirectly.
Gemstones
Casharoo accept jewellery with all types of precious stones and gemstones. Generally it may cost more to remove a Gemstone from its setting than its value, so usually most gemstones unfortunately have no intrinsic value. Where our valuers find a Gemstone which does have intrinsic value, this will be taken into account when an offer is made. Please ensure you include any certificates you have for any gemstones, or diamonds as this will enable our assessors to offer you more money for your items.
Valuation and Offer
Once your items have been received they will be tested and assessed by our specially trained experts to determine their value, which will be based upon that day's precious metal markets.
By sending us your jewellery you accept that this process of determining a value may in some cases involve placing certain acids on the gold, silver, platinum or other items which may leave permanent staining and scratches.
Casharoo accepts no liability for any damage caused valuing Items if you decide not to accept our offer or for any reason we do not buy your items.
We will try to make contact with you by phone. You consent that we may also make your offer by WhatsApp on the phone number you provided us and we may accept your confirmation on WhatsApp of accepting our offer. Our offer is only valid for 12 hours so if you do not reply, or we do not get hold of you we will need to provide another offer which may be slightly higher or lower based on the gold price from that day.
Once you have accepted our offer your acceptance is legally binding on both of us and it is irrevocable.
Please note that once you accept our offer if you sent us multiple items any of these items which do not have any value to us will not be returned unless you pay £15 to cover our return postage and administration costs.
If we cannot contact you once we have your items we will keep them for 30 days, and if we are still unable to contact you we will then assume our offer is accepted and provide our assessment based on the gold price on that day and we may then at our sole discretion pay that money into your bank account.
We may also at our sole discretion hold the money until you contact us if we decide that we need to speak to you. This money will be held for a further six months, and then if you still do not contact us we will donate this money to our charity of choice if we have made all reasonable steps to contact you but still cannot do so for any reason.
Paying you
We make bank transfers hourly between 8 am and 7 pm so we aim to pay you within 60 minutes from the time you accept our offer. We always try to make the best offer we can for your precious metals and jewellery.
After our offer has been accepted, we will arrange payment. We will pay by bank transfer into the bank account that you gave us at the time you completed our online sales request form. Please ensure that the account details are correct as we take no responsibility if we pay money into an account you provided us, if the account number or sort code you provided us were incorrect.
Returning items to you
The vast majority of our customers accept the offer we make and are very happy. If you decide not to accept our offer for your items, your goods will be returned to you, however we ask for a payment of £15 to cover the return postage and our administrative costs.
For returned items to you that Royal Mail has not been able to deliver back to you we will unfortunately have to charge another £15 for the second attempt to return these to you to cover our administration and postage costs. Payment from you must be received within 14 days or we reserve the right to purchase the items at our current gold price and credit the money into the bank account you provided us.
Loss and theft liability
In the very unlikely event that any of your items are lost or stolen once we have received them but before we have agreed to buy them Casharoo will pay you their replacement value, or at our sole discretion provide items of a near equivalent value. If you are not happy with our offer, we agree to appoint, and pay for, an independent valuer to assess them and we both agree to be bound by their valuation.
When returning your original items please refer to the postage and insurance section of these terms above.
All items must be sent to us with a unique reference number (which is generated when you complete the online sales form on our web site Casharoo.co.uk) along with your full name and address inside the envelope with your precious metals and jewellery. If you do not do this we may not be able to trace the items back to you.
